Store only data that benefits from shared verification. Personal, confidential or frequently changing data often belongs off-chain with references or proofs.
Lifecycle rules
Classification, retention, deletion obligations and schema evolution must be defined for both ledger and off-chain stores.
Access governance
Read access can be as sensitive as write access. Permissioned networks need explicit participant, channel or collection boundaries.
Reconciliation
Design deterministic reconciliation between source systems, integration services and ledger state, including exception ownership.
